Dogs of Downtown: Astra

Meet Astra

If this one-year-old Great Pyrenees looks familiar, you may have seen her in the Artist-in-Residence studio at the Pfister Hotel, where she visits her owner a couple days a week.

Favorite toy: A root system she dug up in the back yard.

Favorite patio: As a puppy, Astra is still warming up to the responsibilities that come with such outings. She does love passing through the Pfister Hotel lobby and spreading joy to everyone she meets there.

Favorite treat: Peanut butter!

Favorite spot Downtown: Cathedral Square. A great place to make friends and chase gulls.

ABOUT THE MKE DOG PARK PROJECT

The MKE Dog park is a dynamic 12,000-square-foot space that will transform the west bank of the Milwaukee River on N. Plankinton Avenue and W. Clybourn Street into Downtown Milwaukee’s first public dog park and revitalize this important neighborhood gateway. Learn more about the project at www.MKEDogPark.com and in the latest version of the MKE BluePrint here. Don’t forget to follow us at @MKEDogPark.
