Fun Times for a Good Cause in September
Summer is coming to end with kids back in school and the weather starting to get cooler, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop having events. Here is our September event calendar and a new fundraiser from Explorium Brewpub to help make the downtown dog park a reality.
Check out the MKE Dog Park Newsletter for more information.
Explorium Brewpub announced their mission to raise $20,000 for the MKE Dog Park.
The Third Ward location will be donating $1 for every beer sold and $2 for every 3-pack of Crowler Cans sold. If you are not a beer fan, you can still support the dog park while at Explorium Brewpub. There will be QR codes posted in the pubs to donate directly to the dog park. Not only that, but you will soon be able to find Explorium dog merch releasing in October. A portion of the proceeds from dog merch will go towards the MKE dog park. Thank you, Explorium for being so dedicated to the mission of bringing a dog park to downtown Milwaukee!
September 18, 5:30 to 8 pm
Purchase a Shine a light bulb on September 18 and dedicate it to a furry friend. All proceeds for bulbs purchased on September 18 will go towards Pets Helping People. Pets Helping People is a pet therapy nonprofit serving southeastern Wisconsin. The viewing party will be at Boone & Crockett with local pet-focused vendors.
September 21, 5:30-8:30 pm
Another happy hour with 10% of Pub proceeds going towards the dog park. You’ll find food trucks for humans and dogs, with Twist Plants and Woof Bowl. Ollydog Threads, with dog bandanas and collars, and Wet Nose Candle Company, with hand-poured soy candles, will be vending throughout the happy hour.
September 24, 10 am- 6 pm
This will be the 9th year of Fromm Petfest- celebrating our pets at a free, family-friendly festival. This year’s festivities include dock diving, lure and agility courses, live music, shopping, food and more.
September 28, 6-10 pm
Our friends at the Iron Horse Hotel will be donating one dollar to the dog park for every Iron Horse Pilsner purchase. There will be pet-focused vendors, live music and lot of dogs.
