DOGS OF DOWNTOWN: ERNIE

Meet Ernie, Ernie is a 9-year-old Dalmatian who originally hails from a farm in Missouri and was adopted when he was several months old. He lived in both Richmond, VA and Boston, MA before moving here to Milwaukee. Ernie's name comes from Ernie Banks -- the first Black player for the Chicago Cubs -- who is one of Ernie's dad's all-time favorite athletes. When Ernie's not traveling around Wisconsin with his dads or visiting his grandpawrents in Illinois, he can be found snuggling, searching for street meat, and wrestling with his Siamese cat sister, Joni.

Ernie’s favorite things about Milwaukee would have to be all of the great parks and green spaces around the city. He loves taking trips to Lake Park, Lake Michigan, and the Milwaukee River Greenway. The people here are also incredibly friendly and love striking up conversations about Dalmatians ("Where are the other 100?!") and their own pups.

Favorite Toy: His favorite toy would be ANY plush toy that squeaks. His go-to's are Huggle Hounds and our friends at Mac's Pet Depot Barkery always keep us stocked up on those!

Favorite Patio/Hangout: Riley's Social House, Explorium Brewpub, and The Garage

Favorite Treat: A pup cup from Stone Creek or anything else he is offered. Carrots and chicken are a big favorite.

Favorite Spot Downtown: He loves the trails and views at Lakeshore State Park as well as walks and watching the boats along the RiverWalk. Soon his favorite spot will be the Downtown Dog Park!
